Neues Material "The Ground"

Angetrieben von dem Streben ein Mundstück aus einem Material zu entwickeln, dass ein Schwingungsverhalten wie Holz hat, aber beständiger und größer im Ton ist hat Francois Louis das neue Material für seine Mundstücke gefunden.

 

Kammern

Das "Spectruoso" wird mit zwei unterschiedlich geformten stufigen Kammern angeboten:

 

Sphere Chamber

Die Sphere Chamber ist angelehnt an die Kammer der ursprünglichen FL Mundstücke. Es bietet eine unglaubliche dynamische Bandbreiten mit vollem Klang vom pianissimo bis zum fortissimo. Es setzt die gesamte eingesetzte Luft in Klang um.

 

Medium Large Chamber

Die Medium Large Chamber ist ein traditionellerer Kammertyp und bietet einen etwas luftigeren Klang. Das ideale Mundstück für "Hard Bop" Stil, erinnert an den Klang der 50er, lässt sich aber mit der Effizienz der besten modernen Mundstücke spielen.

The François Louis mouthpieces

Thanks to the continuous support from many of you and your persistant request for the "FL" mouthpieces, I have spent the last few years on the development of a new line of saxophone mouthpieces. The result is here, starting with the new "Spectruoso" tenor sax mouthpiece. Alto, Soprano and Baritone will follow shortly.
 

A new design that will make your "FL" mouthpiece recognisable at the first blow. Beautifully mixed polished and sanded (mate) surfaces, with an inner curve at the junction between the beak and the body of the mouthpiece and also at the junction between the shank and the body.

 

Material

A great new composite material, the "Grounds" that brings up the roots of the vibration. Inspired by the determination of finding a modern material that resonates like wood, with absolute consistency and more focus. Let me tell you, it does vibrate !

 

Care

To enjoy your mouthpiece at its best, clean it regularly using a soft tooth brush and mild dish soap. Composite materials are sensitive to solvents, avoid using any.
Resonance has been privileged. Although stronger than hard rubber the "grounds" is not an unbreakable material. Care for your mouthpiece gently to get the most out of it.

Die Pure Brass Blattschraube wurde speziell für Holzblasinstrument entwickelt und bietet einen perfekte Übereinstimmung mit den Mundstücken. Die Edelstahldrähte des Original Ultimate wurden bei den Pure Brass Blattschrauben durch Brass-Resonatoren und rollen in Längsrichtung ersetzt.

Diese Entwicklung und Veränderung der Blattschraube erzeugt einen tiefen Ton mit einem sehr ausgewogenen Widerstand und garantiert ein freies Schwingen des Reeds.

Die Pure Brass Blattschrauben sind erhältlich für: Sopransaxophon, Klarinette, Altsaxophon, Tenorsaxophon, Baritonsaxophon, Alto-Klarinette und Bassklarinette.

Weiterhin sind die Blattschrauben in Brass, Silverplated und Goldplated lieferbar. Diese unterscheiden sich wie folgt:

Die Ultimate Blattschraube für Altsaxophon von Francois Louis ist mehr als nur ein trendiges Accessoire, denn sie ist in sich als eigens konzipiertes Instrument zu sehen.

Die Konstruktion von einer einzigen zentralen Schraube, sorgt für eine gleichmäßige Verteilung des Drucks auf das Reed und erlaubt es so, das Reed ohne Dämpfung der Eigenschwingung des Mundstückes, frei schwingen zu lassen.

 Die Basic Blattschraube kommt dem Musiker entgegen der etwas weniger Widerstand beim Spielen mag. Die Blattschraube projeziert einen reinen und tiefen Klang. Die Basic Serie ist für alle die eine gute und preiswerte Blattschraube haben möchten und trotzdem nicht auf eine Klang- und Spieloptimierung verzichten möchten. Gerade in der Jazz-Szene werden die Eigenschaften der Francois Louis Produkte geschätzt.

Die versilberte Messingausführung verleiht dem Klang mehr Härte und einen zentrierteren Ton.

Ligatures

The Ultimate Ligature

The Ultimate Ligature is more than just a trendy accessory, it has been conceived as an instrument in its own right.

The tightening by a single central screw ensures an even distribution of the pressure on the reed and allows the reed to vibrate freely without damping the natural vibration of the mouthpiece.

Thanks to the resonating pipes this ligature generates a range of sympathetic vibrations that enrich the player's sound.

The Ultimate Ligature comes in three finish:

The Brass is more resonant and vibrating.
The Silver is more resistant and darker.
The Gold has more "elegance" and a slicker tone quality (polished).

It is always advisable to try different ligatures. Since they are hand made, there might be a little difference between two ligatures of the same finish (smaller or bigger amount of soldering etc. that might have influence on the resonance).

It is also important to try them with the same set up (horn, mouthpiece and reed).

The Ultimate Ligature Pure brass

THE Ultimate Ligature PURE BRASS has been designed for a perfect match with Hard Rubber and Wooden Mouthpieces.

The stainless steel wires of the Original “Ultimate” have been replaced by a Brass Brace. Its suppleness makes it fit your mouthpiece smoothly.
The tightening is assured by a single Top Screw for a great comfort of use.
The contact with the reed is assured by a Solid Brass Pressure Plate providing more resistance and a centred resonance.
The Longitudinal Contact with the Mouthpiece by Brass Resonators and Rolls guarantees free Vibrations of the ensemble Reed / Mouthpiece.
All this produce a deeper tone with a well balanced resistance and a great projection.

The "Pressure Plates" Set of the Original "Ultimate Ligature" can also be used with the "Ultimate Ligature Pure Brass".

The Basic Ligature

The Basic Ligature combines all advantages of the Ultimate Ligature "Pure Brass" (–Brass Brace –tightened by a single Top Screw –Longitudinal Contact with the Mouthpiece and Reed) with an easier production process using a “Pre-formed” Brass Brace.

This offers a High Class ligature at an affordable price for all the players who want to experiment with the sound quality of the ligature.
The “Basic Ligature” is lighter and less resistant and will be perfect for those who don’t want to work too hard to produce a free and deep sound.

Accessories

Level Expander for Ultimate Ligature (Original and Pure Brass)

Owners of special, thinner, custom made or german clarinet mouthpieces may find it difficult to bring the pressure plate into perfect contact with the reed.
To solve this, one should fit a Level Expander into the Ultimate Ligature.
 

Interchangeable Pressure Plates

A set of 3 interchangeable pressure plates is available for players who want to experiment with sound and tone color.

• 1 plate in stainless steel for a free, light and a flexible sound with a quick response.
• 1 plate in solid brass for a deeper tone with more resistance, mostly appreciated by classical players.
• 1 plate in rubber coated stainless steel; the ideal compromise – light and flexible, yet darker.
